Review of the STAKES Casino

Stakes Casino has been in operation since 2016, and on the surface it seems to be a respectable operation. The website has a great style that is attractive to the eye, and the lobby contains a good selection of books and magazines. However, you are aware of the ancient proverb that not everything that glitters is gold.

We’ve heard far too many accounts from players who were unsatisfied with their experiences at Stakes Casino, whether it was due to long wait periods with customer care or just not receiving their money when they were entitled to it. To be on the safe side, we created an account with Stakes, played a few games, and carefully read the tiny print. We were less than thrilled with the results.

At the very least, Stakes demonstrates that a ‘beautiful’ website will only carry you so far. Read the remainder of our review, in which we go into further depth about all of the things we didn’t like about this casino and why you should consider playing at a different establishment.

A drab and limited welcome package is provided.

We don’t operate on the assumption that a casino bonus is the most crucial item to consider. We also don’t feel that a casino should provide extravagant welcome bonus packages to new players. A large number of our favorite casinos do just well by giving reasonable welcome packages that aren’t difficult to take advantage of.

The welcome package at Stakes, on the other hand, is somewhat blah. As you can see in the chart below, you’ll need to deposit three times in order to complete the whole package, and the total amount you’ll get is rather little in comparison to the rest of the prizes. High-rollers will undoubtedly be turned off by this package, and we believe that even the majority of players who take a more relaxed approach would be disappointed by this offering. The wagering requirements aren’t worth it.

Banking Options that are reasonable; Banking Terms that are bizarre

On paper, the banking choices at Stakes seem to be rather attractive, as they do with most things at the casino. We’d be lying if we stated that there isn’t a diverse selection of deposit and withdrawal options accessible to players. However, as experience has shown, banking is likely the sector in which Stakes does the least well. If you want to see what we’re talking about, have a look at this clause:

In addition, “STAKES maintains the right to change credit card/debit limitations and/or refuse to accept any withdrawals or deposits.”

We’d be quite cautious about investing any money into Stakes after reading that restriction. There are no exclusions or criteria for why they could refuse to process a withdrawal request. They have the legal right to deny a payment procedure just because they feel like it or because it is convenient for them, and then concoct a fabricated rationale that the transaction seems to be fraudulent. You’d be in a precarious position if you tried to dispute.

That isn’t the only strange phrase, by the way. The distribution of winnings in excess of €10,000 will be split into monthly withdrawals of €5000. While this may not seem like a big deal, it is important to note that it also applies to progressive jackpots. What happens if you hit the jackpot and win €100,000 on a single spin of the roulette wheel? That’s right, you’ll have to wait 20 months to get everything.

A Lobby that is over-saturated

Notably, the lobby of Stakes Casino isn’t the worst aspect of the establishment. For all intents and purposes, it is a respectable piece of work. The lobby page is well-organized, and there is a decent number of games to choose from. Its most serious flaw is that it is just overflowing with games from far too many different developers.

While this may be OK for players who are already familiar with online casino gambling, we believe it might be difficult for those who are just starting started to wade through hundreds of games to discover the best ones. For every fantastic game, such as Wizard of Gems by Play’n GO, which has stunning visuals and a diverse range of gaming possibilities, there are a slew of equally excellent alternatives.

A theme we’ve seen in a number of online casinos is that they attempt to compensate for lacking casino features by overcompensating with the game variety available to players. We’ve learned to enjoy the more concentrated experience you receive when you enter a lobby that has been more carefully managed and organized.
